INFORMATION FOR COURT REPORTING STUDENT APPLICANTS

The Gerald Hanson Scholarship Fund has scholarship funds available to deserving court reporting students who meet the following criteria:

1. Student member of MAPCR.
2. Michigan resident
3. Currently enrolled in a NCRA approved court reporting program and has maintained excellent credentials.
4. 180-and-above speed classes.

To be eligible you must be a student member of MAPCR. If you are not currently a student member of MAPCR, please apply online before continuing with this scholarship application. Member Application

In order to be eligible for scholarship consideration, MAPCR also requires all of the following documents to be submitted by the deadline:

1. Online application completed
2. Personal statement
3. Copy of current official school transcript
4. Two letters of recommendation

In-person interviews may be conducted and the winners will be announced Fall 2023.  The scholarship may be used at the discretion of the recipient for school-related and court reporting-related expenses.  All information will be kept in the strictest confidence within MAPCR's Scholarship Committee and Board of Directors.
